"meeting steve on my 8th birthday at the zoo"
- zac from queensland, australia
"So many wonderful memories to choose from but I think it was when my son had his 8th birthday at the zoo and one of the zoo keepers who knew us went and told Steve about my son and how he idolises him...sooo Steve came over and met my son Zac. The smile on Zacs face was priceless...a dream come true! To this day Steve still has a strong influenece on Zac who is now nearly 18..It was one of the most amazing moments in his life and Steve was just wonderful. Another very special memory of Steve was the last time we saw him at the zoo before the accident when we were walking out of the zoo and were waiting to cross the road to the car park. I could see the flickering of lights and I looked up to see Steve in his 4wd flashing his lights and pointing to my son to get his attention waving madly from his car. I quietly told my son to look up the road so as not draw too much attention to Steve out of respect.for his privacy.. As Zac looked up he saw Steve waving like a mad bugger and let me say that made his day and warms his heart. Steve was so great to my kids always acknowledging them whenever he saw them and if he could he would always stop and say "hello". All of the dvds documentary's the visits to the zoo especially when Steve and Terri were doing the demo's are very special memories and we all hold them very dear in our hearts. Thankyou Steve for all that you did all that you gave and for just being you...It means more to us than you could ever know. We miss you..Happy 50th ..Eternally young!"
