[STICKY] Scavenger Hunt Time!

Your job is to find each icon and tell (a) what the icon is and (b) what page you found it on. Leave your answers in the Comments section. The first person to find and list all 14 items will win a VIP pass! (VIP section opens on 1st April.) You may Comment as many times as you need to, but each item needs to be under *your* name; you cannot use a comment above you toward your account (although you are allowed to copy and paste if you want to).

Update: 5:33pm Tuesday February 21, Queensland Time - Still no winner yet! Why not write down the items as you find them, and then come back later and keep going if nobody has found them?

Wildlife Warriors, Fan Week 2012, Steve Mini Site

1. Saturday the 25th is going to be Wildlife Warriors day. We will be having the chat room open to the public, but if you want to be able to post in the Wildlife Warriors forum you'll need to join the Wildlife Warriors user group. If you want to join, please send me a PM and I'll add you.

2. Fan Week 2012 starts this Sunday! We will begin our scavenger hunt at 5PM QLD time, so please be sure to come on here around that time so you can begin your search. I will also be closing this site temporarily for about an hour before the scavenger hunt so that I can place the items around the site... so don't be alarmed if you come her and the maintenance screen is up... just come back at 5PM. ;)

3. The Steve mini site is pretty much done... if you'd like to add a look-alike, alphabet, add/edit your "memories" or "influence" message, add a quote or fact, etc., please email me at webmaster@bindi-irwin.com ASAP... and before the 22nd if you want your stuff to be on the site when it "officially" launches.

Irwin 'disgusted' with croc hunting plan

Queensland wildlife campaigner Bob Irwin says his conservationist son would be horrified about the Federal Government considering safari hunting crocodiles in the Northern Territory.

The Federal Government will soon call for public submissions on reintroducing the trophy sport.

Some traditional owners have been told a permit to hunt 25 crocodiles a year could net $1 million annually through tourism and trophy products.

But Bob Irwin, the father of late 'Croc Hunter' Steve Irwin, says every Australian should protest against the proposal.

He says it seems the Government has not learned anything from his son.

Mr Irwin says it goes against everything his son lived and died for.

"Steve would be turning over in his grave - this is a real step backwards," he said.

"Can you imagine a boatload of tourists seeing some big white hunter shooting an animal that they came to photograph.

"The Indigenous people up there can make a lot more money out of tourism than trophy hunting.

"I feel absolutely disgusted about it and in fact this type of safari hunting is only going to benefit some very wealthy white fella with a big boat and a big gun.

"It is hardly going to give any jobs whatsoever - how many people does it take to shoot a crocodile?"
